With less than 24 hours left of Movember I am pleased to say that I have exceeded my goal. But the month is not over. So hop over to my MoSpace page and leave your support http://us.movember.com/mospace/937926/
On other news, been down in Rhode Island shooting and trying to get the name out there. Getting some work done down in the workshop tying to create some neat stuff.

I am not quite sure if they are mocking me or supporting the cause... I am going with supporting the cause. These lovely ladies are sporting great fingerstaches for fun while I am sporting mine for a great cause, MOVEMBER! If you would like to support the great cause then make a donation.
http://us.movember.com/mospace/937926/ Also, for an FYI, fleece lined boardshorts. AMAZING!! Check them out at Immersion Research! NO More pants for this kid! Tom is at it again. He is making crazy boards that are wicked fun. Don't worry I will be making one of these bad boys in a little bit and testing it out ASAP... Stayed tuned for what is coming out of the
So this is like the 3 night this week that i have watched some form of Harry Potter movie, starting with the Half Blood Prince, and then the first two in order. I'm not going to lie I do love the movies they are fun to watch, keep your attention but they are always having me want the next one. However, since I did watch the Half Blood Prince i Now have to wait for the next one to come out, which i think is next weekend. It looks pretty awesome.
But i have better plans for next weekend. Making a trip down to Philly, not for the cheesesteaks, but to see my brother and sister in law and to meet my nephew. He will be a month old by the time i meet him, but I cant wait. It's going to be great. I spent the day yesterday doing the same thing I have planned for today. I am going to be editing a project to try and get it out my door by Friday. Just buttoning up the final pieces hopefully by the end of today. The surf was blown to hell yesterday from the wind so my plans of a least getting an hour in were destroyed. Today I will get out there and get a paddle in, its better than watching tv all day. Back to the grind.
It has been a very busy November and only one week down so far. There has been a tragic loss, a groundbreaking win and an overlooked celebration. Kelly Slater won his 10th world title...10. Oh and did I mention he is 38. He is 11 years older than I am, and I have traveled to a fraction of the world he has won contests in. I need to get on that. However, Kelly's title was won during a dark time in surf history.
With Kelly's win and AI's death there is alot happening in the surf world. The 10 titles, which would be less if Andy hadn't been there to challenge him and keep him on his toes. Once a great rivalry it had turned to a relationship built on respect and united within the arms of Mother Ocean. Then there is Steph Gilmore who just won number 4! Enough said with the picture above. So hey Steph if you are ever up here in New England I will grab your next round. Oh Kelly that goes for you too. And to the Irons family a cold one is always waiting. It has been a busy couple of days here at the Doghouse, besides working and getting some projects buttoned up I have been watching the waves come in over the webcam. I am hoping to get into some in the morning and praying they last until Wednesday as I have Tuesday and Wednesday off. So send a prayer my way. Once I finish a big project get ready to see some little vids coming out. I have a couple filmed, its just a matter of editing them together. So check back in a couple of days. It's going to be good.
Yesterday the surf world was shocked to hear that Andy Irons passed away. As you can see in the image from above he will be missed greatly. (Credits) I would like to write something grand but I am still kind of shocked. He was able to knock Slater out of his A-game... How many can say they did that. His surfing spoke louder than his voice. The waves will not be the same without him. My prayers go out to his family and friends on the Islands and around the world.
Starting March first we will be embarking on a journey to paddle the Eastern Seaboard on Stand Up Paddleboards, heading north from Key West FL to Portland, ME. We’re combining two passions, paddling and helping people, while fulfilling a dream of seeing the east coast from the water. In doing this we hope to raise both awareness and money for America’s service men and women and stand up for those who have stood up.
Will & Mike http://supthecoast.wordpress.com/ http://www.supthecoast.com/ Make a donation to them at: www.wwpproudsupporter.kintera.org/supthecoast I have decided to donate my upper lip to the cause.
The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember. Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days. Donate to the cause. http://us.movember.com/mospace/937926/ Help me raise money for this cause. And stayed tuned for the moustache-tacular updates. |
